changes to ferry timetable
On Monday 11th March 2013 there will be a change to the Pine Harbour Ferry Timetable. The 9.40am departure from Pine Harbour will now depart 20 minutes earlier at 9.20am, returning from the city at 10.00am (was 10.20am). We are also very pleased to advise we are adding a new mid-morning run departing from Pine Harbour at 10.00am and returning from the city 10.40am.
Electronic ticketing is now being implemented for casual use with plans to be fully operational this year.
In line with the recent rezoning at the Marina, Auckland Transport is also in the process of commencing design for a purpose built loading pier and parking arrangements.
Pine Harbour Ferries
Pine Harbour Ferries run between Pine Harbour marina and downtown Auckland 15 times daily, Monday-Friday (excluding Public Holidays). Our modern, high-speed catamarans can transport between 49 - 99 passengers at a time, either in the relaxing comfort of the inside cabin or on the open deck, for an exhilarating ride.
Each catamaran is powered by twin Hamilton jet units driven by two Scarnia or Detroit engines. Capable of speeds up to around 40 knots, these vessels can operate in all but extreme weathers, giving a fast and smooth ride. Travel time from Pine Harbour Marina to Downtown Auckland takes just 35 minutes.
Pine Harbour Marina has free parking and a 24 hour hi-tech security service is in place, including regular patrols by security staff. There are shower and toilet facilities at the marina.
A shuttle bus can be booked to provide transport from Pine Harbour Marina to Botany, East Tamaki and Manukau.

SuperGold Card Fare Information:
Free travel period applies Monday-Friday from 9.00am until last sailing of the day. Please note a ticket must be obtained prior to travel. SuperGold Card (or Auckland Transport approved Senior Citizen Card) must be shown when obtaining ticket. For travel prior to 9.00am the full adult fare applies.
Unaccompanied Children:
Travel for unaccompanied children under the age of 14 must be arranged prior to sailing with the skipper.
Private Charters
Pine Harbour Ferries are also available for Private Charters to any of the Islands in the inner Hauraki Gulf or late night trips in to Auckland. With three ferries to choose from, carrying between 49 - 99 passengers, you’ll have your transport needs covered.
