Pine Harbour Marina - a short history
Established in 1988, Pine Harbour Marina was developed following a planning application in 1985. The marina was built on land that had previously been considered for an oil refinery, a proposal that was ultimately rejected in favour of creating a recreational and transport hub for the community.
Over the years, Pine Harbour has grown into a fully self-contained marina with 570 berths, offering a full range of services including a 50-tonne boat lifter, dry stack, hardstand, and boat park facilities. The marina operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and is complemented by cafés, shops, and recreational spaces, making it a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors.
In 2015, the marina and approximately 9 hectares of associated land were sold for $22 million, reflecting its significance as a major transport hub and community asset.
